About Us


Mission
 

 

It is the mission of the Center For Independence to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to live and work as other citizens do in the communities of their choice.  Assistance may take the form of support, instruction or advocacy.

Our primary focus is enhancing and improving the quality of life of the persons we serve.

Mission

 

Established in 1976, the Center For Independence is located in Huron, South Dakota.  The organization initially served twelve adults and now serves more than 190 people with developmental disabilities.
